A potter shaping clay on a traditional manual wheel

Behind the product

The people who make it

Every piece leaving our workshops was shaped, carved or painted by hand. Here is who, where, and on what terms.

How the network is structured

Potters and carvers work in the workshops; painters and finishers work in small cluster units or from home. Work is distributed to a coordinator, collected, quality-checked and paid for by the piece — usually within nine days of collection, always by bank transfer to the craftworker’s own account.

Piece rates are published at every cluster and reviewed twice a year against local wage benchmarks. In 2025 the median artisan earned 38% above the Rajasthan rural minimum for the hours worked.

What we do not do

No children, at any stage, in any cluster — verified by unannounced spot checks, not just declarations. No advance-against-work arrangements that create debt bondage. No deductions for breakage or material wastage during a trainee’s first three months.

Third-party social audits are welcome and have been passed with no corrective actions since 2022. We will share the reports with any serious buyer.
