FAQ
The questions buyers ask first
If yours is not here, the export desk will answer it directly — usually the same day.
Ordering
- What is your minimum order quantity?
- 100 pieces per design on marble and stone; 300 on terracotta and paper mache, per colour or finish. Private-label development starts at 500. Mixed containers across several designs are fine — the MOQ applies per design, not per order.
- Can I order a single sample first?
- Yes. Samples are charged at cost plus courier and credited against your first production order. Expect three to four weeks from spec approval for a fired or carved piece.
- Do you hold stock?
- We hold buffer stock on best-selling stone and terracotta designs for replenishment, typically four to six weeks of cover. Everything else is made to order.
Shipping & Incoterms
- Which Incoterms do you work on?
- FOB Nhava Sheva or Mundra as standard. CIF and DDP are available, as is consolidated LCL if you are not filling a container. We will quote all three if it helps you compare.
- How long does shipping take?
- Roughly 22–28 days to Northern Europe, 30–38 to the US East Coast and 38–45 to the West Coast, port to port. Add clearance time at your end.
- What are your lead times?
- Eight to twelve weeks from approved sample, depending on volume and material — stone runs slower than terracotta. Festive programmes should be locked by June for October despatch.
Product & materials
- Will colours match exactly between orders?
- No. Natural stone veins differently block to block, and reactive glazes shift batch to batch. We hold to a defined tolerance against an approved standard and will send a batch sample before bulk if colour is critical.
- Are the products suitable for outdoor use?
- Glazed and sealed terracotta is fine outdoors in temperate climates; unglazed garden ware carries a frost risk we will spell out. Marble weathers over time. Paper mache is indoor only. We will tell you which is which rather than sell you the wrong thing.
- Can you match a competitor's sample?
- Usually. Send the physical piece rather than a photograph. If the form or finish is outside what our workshops do, we will say that instead of approximating it badly.
Compliance
- What certifications can you provide?
- REACH and Prop 65 declarations per shipment, food-contact and lead/cadmium testing on glazed tableware, lead-free glaze statements per batch, and fumigation and phytosanitary certificates on terracotta.
- Can we audit your facilities?
- Yes, announced or unannounced, with your own auditor if you prefer. We have passed SMETA 4-pillar in 2022, 2023 and 2025 with no corrective actions.
