How we work
Brief to container in eight to twelve weeks
The stages below are the ones we commit to in writing. Where we cannot hold a date, we say so before you place the order, not after.
- 011 working day
Brief and costing
You send a spec, a sketch or a reference photo. We come back within one working day with an indicative FOB band and the questions that would firm it up.
- 023–4 weeks
Sampling
First sample in three to four weeks — a fired or carved piece, couriered with a spec sheet. Two revision rounds are included; most designs need one.
- 032 working days
Costing lock and PI
Firm price against the approved sample, with a proforma invoice stating Incoterms, payment terms and the production window.
- 041–2 weeks
Material allocation
Clay bodies are mixed and stone blocks are selected to the approved shade and grade. Batch references are recorded against your order.
- 056–9 weeks
Workshop production
Work is allocated to the workshops trained on that piece. You get in-line photographs at the biscuit-fire or rough-cut stage, unprompted.
- 063–5 days
Inspection and packing
AQL 2.5 inspection on our floor, with a drop and rattle test on every stone and terracotta design. Third-party inspection welcome — we will hold the container for your inspector.
- 07FOB Nhava Sheva / Mundra
Documentation and despatch
Full document set — invoice, packing list, BL, certificate of origin, fumigation and phytosanitary certificates on terracotta, and any test reports your market requires.
Payment terms
30% advance against PI, balance against scanned BL. LC at sight accepted for orders above $25,000.
Incoterms
FOB Nhava Sheva or Mundra as standard. CIF, DDP and consolidated LCL available on request.
If we slip
You hear it from us the week it becomes likely, with options — part shipment, air freight on our cost share, or a revised date.
